On Thursday, April 23rd 2026, at 18hrs, the conference "Os desafios das relações UE-ALC para lá do Acordo UE-Mercosul" or “The challenges of EU–LAC relations beyond the EU–Mercosur Agreement” will take place in Room SD at Colégio Almada Negreiros (CAN, Campolide), delivered by Prof. Bruno Theodoro Luciano (São Paulo State University – UNESP and UNU-CRIS).

Just days before the entry into force of the Trade Agreement between the European Union and Mercosur, which was negotiated for more than 25 years, Prof. Bruno Theodoro Luciano aims to reflect on the negotiation process, the impact of the agreement on both regions, and to assess it within the broader Latin American regional context.
